Art Galleries at Black Studies (AGBS)
Art Galleries at Black Studies (AGBS) is dedicated to showcasing the art of Africa and the African Diaspora at The University of Texas at Austin. AGBS also produces a robust cycle of public programs and houses a permanent collection of artworks. It is a center for teaching, learning, and scholarship. AGBS is open to all, free of charge, and committed to inviting diverse audiences to engage in art and visual culture.

Austin Fine Art Gallery
Nestled in Rollingwood for the last 29 years, Austin Fine Art Gallery has exhibited a wide range of fresh abstract and conceptual work by emerging modern artists, while providing many services for the artist and public alike, including quality custom framing and giclée printing.

Central Library Gallery
The Central Library Gallery features rotating art displays from local and national artists, with a public call for exhibition proposals occurring every 2 years. The mission of the Central Library Gallery is to promote and support local artists and art communities, increase access and awareness of contemporary and diverse forms of art, and to provide exhibitions in which a wide variety of identities and interests are represented.
Connelly Martin Gallery
Nestled just west of downtown Austin, in the heart of the historic Clarksville neighborhood, Connelly Martin Gallery is located on West 6th Street, an area shaped by decades of community and creativity. Laura Rathe Fine Art
With over 25 years’ experience in the industry, gallery owner, Laura Rathe, started her career working as a private art dealer before establishing Laura Rathe Fine Art (LRFA) in 1998 in Houston, Texas. With two locations in Houston and a third in Dallas’ design district, Laura Rathe Fine Art is thrilled to integrate into Austin’s art community. Since the gallery's inception, LRFA has established itself as a leading contemporary art venue, offering an impressive range of exhibitions and programming to its patrons in both cities.

Mclennon pen co. gallery
McLennon Pen Co. Gallery was founded by Jill McLennon in 2023 to showcase work by emerging and internationally established artists. The gallery presents contemporary art that is poetic, thought-provoking, and reflective of its time, while placing it within a broader historical context.
In 2025, the gallery expanded from its original East Austin house gallery to a commercial space at 1114 W. 5th Street, at the gateway to Clarksville and Old West Austin.
Old Bakery & Emporium
The Old Bakery & Emporium is a historic landmark located in downtown Austin. Local artists and craftspeople keep our artisan shop full of unique, handmade items. Our art gallery features the work of local artists who are 50+ years old. We provide Visitor Center information and have a history exhibit that explores Austin's immigrant history through the Lundberg-Maerki Historical Collection.

Wally Workman Gallery
Established in 1980 and located in a 120 year old historic house, the Wally Workman Gallery specializes in emerging and collected talent. Known for encouraging their artists' professional and creative growth, the gallery has advanced local artists onto the national stage for decades.

West Chelsea Contemporary
West Chelsea Contemporary offers world-class art in a dynamic, interactive setting. WCC produces museum-quality exhibitions year-round with programming that is free and open to the public. With a local, national, and international roster of represented artists, WCC situates artwork from the primary market alongside a highly curated selection of pieces from the secondary market.
Verdant Gallery
Verdant Gallery is a new contemporary fine art gallery committed to advocating and uplifting the careers of emerging and established artists from Austin and beyond. Cloud Tree was founded by artist and furniture maker Brian David Johnson along with the help of his sister Laura Lynn Johnson. grayDUCK GALLERY
grayDUCK Gallery strives to exhibit the work of exceptional artists while creating a welcoming place for everyone: viewers, artists and neighbors. Monthly shows highlight artist’s work from a broad range of experience, both locally and nationally. ICOSA Collective
ICOSA is an artist-run nonprofit space that showcases a diverse range of contemporary art and programming. ICOSA is committed to providing exhibition space free of the constraints of the traditional gallery model, as well as a platform for dialoguing with audiences. Ivester Contemporary is a contemporary fine art gallery committed to connecting people with leading local and regional artists and ideas. Link & Pin Gallery
The concept of Link & Pin is a progressive "artist-influenced" space offering artists not only a place to show their work but also a community they can be a part of and have an impact on. The name, Link & Pin, is a term that describes the old-fashioned way of hitching rail cars together. It reflects both the space's proximity to a railroad track and describes the way the artists will be uniquely linked together.

Women & Their Work
Women & Their Work is a nonprofit visual and performing arts organization located in Central Austin that serves as a catalyst for new ideas in contemporary art created by women living and working in Texas and beyond. For over 47 years, Women & Their Work has brought groundbreaking art to Austin, with exhibitions, performances, and educational workshops.

Yard Dog Gallery
Yard Dog Gallery offers fine art, pop art, & folky art from the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. When we opened in 1995, we were showing folk art from the Deep South. Ao5 Gallery is Austin’s largest contemporary art gallery, and has been committed to bringing a wide selection of accessible fine art to Austin since 1998. Asian American Resource Center
The Asian American Resource Center’s mission is to create a space of belonging and healing for Asian American communities in Austin and beyond. We do this through community collaborations and partnerships; providing rental space; organizing cultural, educational and health wellness programs; and curating art and historical exhibitions. We lead with our values and our vision, so that our diverse communities are supported and connected.

Blanton Museum of Art
The Blanton Museum of Art creates museum
experiences that inspire visitors to discover the
unexpected about the world and themselves. Over the past 60 years, the Blanton has emerged as the principal art museum for both the city of Austin and The University of Texas at Austin. Its collection includes more than 21,000 artworks, with expertise in Latin American, American, European, and international contemporary art. Visitors can expect regularly changing installations from the collection, special projects with contemporary artists, and major thematic exhibitions built from pioneering scholarship
and partnerships with museums worldwide.

The Contemporary Austin - Jones Center
As Austin’s only museum solely focused on contemporary artists and their work, The Contemporary Austin inspires and fuels the city’s creative spirit. Located in the heart of downtown Austin, the museum’s Jones Center location is an 8,000-square-foot museum space presenting internationally relevant contemporary art through a dynamic schedule of artist-centric exhibitions and educational programs.

The Contemporary Austin - Laguna Gloria
The Contemporary Austin – Laguna Gloria’s unique art-in-nature site is home to a thriving art school, historic villa, and contemporary sculpture park—offering exhibitions, educational opportunities, and events that start conversations and expand Austin’s creative spirit.
George Washington Carver Museum,Cultural and Genealogy Center
Through the preservation and exhibition of African American material culture, history, and aesthetic expression, the George Washington Carver Museum works to create a space where the global contributions of all Black people are celebrated. We accomplish this by telling stories about our local community and connecting those histories to larger narratives about Blackness. The Carver Museum is free and open to the public. Masks are encouraged inside the museum.

Harry Ransom Center
One of the world’s finest cultural institutions, the Harry Ransom Center presents exhibitions drawn from its extraordinary collections, including one of only 20 complete copies of the Gutenberg Bible, the earliest surviving camera obscura photograph, and original works by Frida Kahlo and other artists. Exhibitions are curated from the Center’s vast holdings in literature, photography, film, and the performing arts, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the creative process and cultural history. All exhibitions and events are free and open to the public.
Landmarks
Landmarks, the public art program of The University of Texas at Austin, features a collection of almost fifty works of modern and contemporary art. Collection maps and reservations to visit James Turrell’s Skyspace "The Color Inside" are available online. Guided tours occur the first Sunday of every month.

Mexic-Arte Museum
The Mexic-Arte Museum is dedicated to enriching the community through education programs, exhibitions, and the collection, preservation, and interpretation of Mexican, Latinx, and Latin American art and culture for visitors of all ages.
