The Contemporary Austin – Jones Center

Located on Congress Avenue in the heart of downtown Austin, The Contemporary Austin – Jones Center is a 5,000-square-foot museum space presenting contemporary art through a dynamic schedule of changing exhibitions and educational programs that bring artists from across the country and around the globe to Austin. Designed by Paul Lewis of Lewis.Tsurumaki.Lewis, the building will undergo a major renovation and expansion in summer 2016. Made possible by a transformative $1.3 million grant from The Moody Foundation of Galveston, Texas, along with pledges from several members of the museum’s Board of Trustees, the project will increase gallery space to more than 7,000 square feet and greatly expand the potential of the museum’s rooftop deck through the addition of a 21-foot-high permanent, open-air canopy—bolstering the space’s capacity as a venue for exhibition-related films, performances, family programs, tours, and more.

The Contemporary Austin has two locations, this is the downtown. If you are interested in the Betty and Edward Marcus Sculpture Park at Laguna Gloria click here.
