Margaret Smithers-Crump: SPEECHLESS

October 20 - December 2

Suspended from the ceiling, the exhibit’s title work “Speechless” is inspired by coral reefs that are threatened by global warming.  The color and texture of the artwork are meant to heighten awareness of the bleaching of the coral reefs, while the positioning of it in the gallery encourages the viewer to experience the installation from many vantage points, contemplating precarious state of the coral reefs.
