Erin Curtis: Perspective Threshold
Paintings, Drawings & Installations
Join us for a lively discussion about how we create what we desire.
Inspired by the iconic modernist Kaufman House, artist Erin Curtis pays homage to-- and questions-- the idea of perfection in her exhibition Perspective Threshold. Using this show as a point of reference, a panel of architects and designers will investigate how architecture both dictates and responds to the way we wish to live in the world.
Can architecture better our experience of the world?
Does contemporary architecture embrace or deny our past?

Vintage Poster Weekend
ART on 5th welcomes back Retro Gallery and their collection of original, vintage posters. Many of the posters are from France, Italy, England, Poland, Switzerland, and other European countries and each is an antique, printed between 1890 and 1940 -- there are no reproductions. The printing process used is stone lithography, employing hand-carved limestone to create posters for advertising anything from liquor to opera, from household goods to bikes and cars. Each fragile poster has been linen lined to museum paper preservation standards and are preserved and ready to be framed and hung.
